AUSTRALIA: A Winter Wonderland!


“I’ll come back again someday, for sure!”
He..he…he…katanya tiap orang harus punya mimpi, kan?! Well…mimpi juga harus realistis dan logis, atau artinya: pasti bisa dijangkau dan dipenuhi.


I always wanted to see autumn, it’s kind of romantic. Yet, my friend said, come here on winter, you’ll be able to dress up and to look different! One thing led to another made me come to Australia on winter. It’s hard to avoid light traveling. You’ve to bring your winter coats, your boots (he..he..he..), your shawls, your hats and also sun glasses! Pack light is only a dream!
And here I’m, at Tullamarine airport in Melbourne in one cold and windy dawn on the August 15th. After flying for 4 hours from Perth, I finally arrived! On my way to take my luggage, my eyes stroke people dancing and waving. I didn’t recognize those people at first when I finally realized that those were my friends! They were doing a welcome dance for me! FANTASTIC!
Oh…they offered to have a coffee in the city! It was Friday night; it was supposed to be a very…very…very…long night! Oh, I had to refuse it; I needed a good night rest after flying for 4 hours. I needed my energy for the days to come; the busy days to come! Oh yeah baby, I’m gonna explore Victoria state!!!
Places that I have to see this time: the city of Melbourne, of course, Williamstown (fell in love when I went there for the 1st time, back in December 2004), and the Twelve Apostles at The Great Ocean Road, the vineyard at Yarra Valley, Dandenoong and others.

Follow me, I’ll show you those incredibly beautiful places in the state of Victoria, Australia!

MELBOURNE
QUEEN VICTORIA MARKET

Don’t say that you’ve been to Melbourne without stepping down in the Queen Victoria Market. This is a large traditional market where you could find almost everything from Australia: cheese, salami, fruits and veggies, souvenirs, and food stalls!












CHAPEL STREET


And…one of the remarkable places to flirt in Melbourne: Chapel Street. Here, you could find sophisticated fashion shops and cafes and interesting people. And here in Chapel St. you could find an old church which turned to be a nice café to find beers. Hallelujah!!!

Just remember to get dress and to look beautiful and get ready to find your new mates or friends or partners and…so many Australian shops with their own genre here.
It’s cool and FANTASTIC!!!









MELBOURNE BOTANICAL GARDEN

It was one fine winter day on the 23rd of August. It was a perfect fine day to go outside. It was sunny. So off we went, to the Botanical Garden. It’s a big giant garden placed in the heart of the city. Though it was still in winter time, yet it was also the beginning of spring. The wattle have already grown and bloomed. It’s like the people of Melbourne were all going down to the garden. Hundreds of flowers and plants were there with all the names written down in small wooden signs.
It’s a picnic and educational recreation for everybody!



CAMBERWELL – SUNDAY FLEA MARKET

Having fun yet?! ABSOLUTELY!
Melbourne without Camberwell market would mean nothing! No…I was just exaggerate thing, but…when you are in Melbourne, please go to Camberwell, the Sunday Flea Market.
It’s fun, it’s interesting and enjoy yourself finding unique things and antique things and stuff you might find it hard in other places.
Old books, wooden furniture, china, jewelries, you name it, you got it!
Other places to see in Melbourne beside the landmarks: the Crown (a one stop entertainment in a building where you could find restaurants, pubs and cafes, cinemas and…Las Vegas in Melbourne: jackpot machines, roulettes, poker game tables), Flinders Station, Docklands, Victoria St. where you could feel like you are in Ho Chi Minh. Places to go to shop: Chapel Street, Docklands, Brunswick Street, Bridge Road, and Smith Street and of course several branded shops where you could find in the city center where 2 major big department stores: Myer and David Jones are.

It’s Melbourne mates, wait until I elaborate other interesting places and cafes around Victoria.

Sembilan Tahun

The secret of a happy marriage remains a secret - Henny Youngman  7 Agustus 2010 - 7 Agustus 2019:  Love is kind.  Love is patient.   3285 hari.  Iya, tiga ribu dua ratus delapan puluh lima hari sudah kami lewati.  Kalau cinta itu tidak baik dan sabar, tentu cerita akan bisa berbeda ketika tulisan ini dibuat. PARENTING 911

Jaman kuliah di fakultas Komunikasi Massa dulu belajar kalau mau tulisannya dibaca, maka buatlah judul yang menggelitik; provokatif tanpa harus jadi provokator. Saya dan suami diberkati dengan banyak hal selama hampir delapan tahun usia pernikahan kami, namun tampaknya Tuhan masih belum memberikan kami anak.  Tapi, sejak 5 tahun terakhir, kehidupan di rumah kami beberapa kali bersinar karena ada anak adik sepupu saya yang sejak bayi sudah mengenal kami dengan baik karena selama kurang lebih satu tahun, saya dan suami pernah tinggal di rumah Mama ketika rumah kami sedang dibangun.  Jadilah, si pengasuh mendapuk kami menjadi Papi dan Mami, sampai sekarang, sampai lahirlah anak kedua adik sepupu saya. Namanya Bianca.  Well, ini adalah nama pendek dari rangkaian namanya yang cantik.  Ternyata, nama ini terus dipakai walau tidak tertulis resmi di semua dokumennya.  Bianca sekarang sudah lima tahun, kelas TK A, sebentar di bulan Desember dia akan genap enam tahun....
