AUSTRALIA: A Winter Wonderland!

“I’ll come back again someday, for sure!” He..he…he…katanya tiap orang harus punya mimpi, kan?! Well…mimpi juga harus realistis dan logis, atau artinya: pasti bisa dijangkau dan dipenuhi. I always wanted to see autumn, it’s kind of romantic. Yet, my friend said, come here on winter, you’ll be able to dress up and to look different! One thing led to another made me come to Australia on winter. It’s hard to avoid light traveling. You’ve to bring your winter coats, your boots (he..he..he..), your shawls, your hats and also sun glasses! Pack light is only a dream! And here I’m, at Tullamarine airport in Melbourne in one cold and windy dawn on the August 15th. After flying for 4 hours from Perth, I finally arrived! On my way to take my luggage, my eyes stroke people dancing and waving. I didn’t recognize those people at first when I finally realized that those were my friends! PERTH: A Private Journey

12 August 2009 It was early morning at Perth International Airport. I was sitting on the bench near the entrance door waiting for my niece to pick me up. It was so cold and freezing and windy outside. So, here I am; in Perth. It’s like completing a promise I once made to someone, years ago. I’m so ready to go places he once mentioned about this “tiny” town in Western Australia. Oh…there they are. I’d better get going and get some rest before starting my journey in the continent. Welcome to Australia! 13 August 2009 I was sitting on a bench in the city. I saw people passing by, but I was doing a contemplation. I was waiting for Lisa, my niece, who had a painting class that day in the city. Feeling the cold wind breezed in my face, I whispered: “so, I’m here Chris. I’m your city.
